Dino Damiani

DINO DAMIANI lives and works in Grignasco (NO). He started his sculptor’s path attending “Scuola Barolo” in Varallo, with masters Arturo Farinoni and Lino Tosi and later with a sculptor from Gozzano.
For him, “sculpture is experimentation, it is the curiosity to see, where I can arrive”.
At the beginning, he was the sculptor of “hands”. He represented them in their numerous forms and attitudes. Now he prefers feminine forms with tunics or long dresses. They’re elegant and extremely stylised.
A world made by acrobats, swimmers, sportsmen and musicians.
Male characters, represented in dynamic positions, which look like pushed by light breaths or strong rushes of wind.
Dino took and takes part to several Symposia, obtaining prizes and recognitions. He exhibits his works of art in individual and collective exhibitions.
“If the sculpture I realised will create emotions to people looking at it…I’ll have created a work of art”.
