Romano Perolio

ROMANO PEROLIO became interested in sculpture quite late; when he lived in Sestriere, after work, he spent the evenings in “Bottega Trucioli d’Arte” (“Art Shavings Atelier”) of master Carlo Piffer and there, between a glass of wine and a slice of salami, observing the sculptor, he tried to model wood with small mallets and chisels.
In this way, his passion began. Later, he improved his knowledges, attending Piffer’s courses.
His debut in the exhibitions was during the “Scalpello d’Oro” (“The Gold Chisel”), in 2002 in Sestriere.
Today he lives and works in Pinerolo. His style of sculpture is mainly figurative and it reflects the various aspects of nature and of human being.
