Fabio Bortoletto

FABIO BORTOLETTO lives and works in Chatillon. He’s a young sculptor, he didn’t artistic studies and he sculpts for passion. He participated to different editions of the famous “Fiera di Sant’Orso” in Aosta and the last year he did his first experience of Symposium, here in Cellio.
Fabio attended courses at the school of his great friend and master Silvano Ferretti. Now he continues alone, trying to learn even more to improve himself.
He dedicates himself to sculpture most of all in winter, because his work as gardener takes him really busy in the other periods of the year.
His works of art take inspiration from the magic world of fairy tales and legends, and from the little population of forests made up of elves, fairies and sprites. But sometimes he loves changing, representing animals and grotesque figures. He’s fascinated by the fairy tales connected with the Irish tradition and his sprites have the beard like him. The colors he chooses for his sculptures are typical of Ireland, too.
He defines himself a beginner, but he really loves what he does and color, smell and solidity of wood enchant him and help him dreaming.
